TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- UPDATE: North West Silver Lake Road reopened shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Traffic is currently shut down on North West Silver Lake Road, just south of Boone Road, due to a power line across the roadway.

Grand Traverse County 911 said a car hit a power pole in that area.

Cherryland Electric has been notified.
