A low pressure system is situated over the Central U.P. and will lift through the E. U.P. into Canada Saturday. As it does, we'll keep light snow showers in the forecast, especially for the lake effect locations continuing into tonight. Accumulations will be around 1-3" during the day, another 1-3" possible overnight - enough to make and keep the roads a bit slick.

For Sunday, the low will continue to push towards the NE in Canada. This will keep light lake effect snows in the forecast.

As we head later into Sunday night and starting the workweek, high pressure will pass through the Ohio Valley, giving us a bit of a break from the snow and a touch of sunshine.

We are watching another system forming near Colorado and Wyoming. It will move through the plains and bring some wintry mix and snow for Tuesday into Wednesday.
