WEXFORD CO. -- A Cadillac Police Officer died while on duty this morning after he suffered a heart attack.
50-year-old officer William Kanitz was found unconscious this morning by his work partner.
The Wexford County Sheriff's Department has been called in to help officers while the department grieves the loss of Kanitz.
We will pass on funeral information as soon as it becomes available.
Kanitz was with the department for 23 years.
