GRAND RAPIDS -- A West Michigan man faces at least 30 years in prison for killing a woman from Kingsley.

Michael Piranian , 62, will be sentenced Thursday at 1:30pm in Kent County Circuit Court.  Piranian pleaded guilty in October to second-degree murder and assault with intent to do great bodily harm.

Piranian set a Kent County home on fire in March.  Kori VanHulle, 24, was trapped inside.

VanHulle had recently moved to Kent County from Kingsley.
