Benzie Central HS Student Killed In Crash

BENZIE CO. -- The Benzie County Sheriff's Office is releasing the name of the teenager killed in a car crash Tuesday.

It happened around 4:52 p.m. on Pioneer Road.  The Benzie County Sheriff's Office says a car lost control on a curve and rolled over several times killing 17-year old Amber Green of Thompsonville.

The driver of the car,  17-year old Albert Shelton of Interlochen,  remains in critical condition at Munson Medical Center.  A second passenger, a 16-year-old girl was treated and released from the hospital.

All three teens are students at Benzie Central High School.  Grief Counselors are at the high school Wednesday, helping students and staff deal with the loss.
