Icey Roads

Posted by Robert Peters, Atlanta, MI - Sunday, March 29, 2009 at 7:51 a.m.

With last nights snow/ice event, The roads in Montmorency County, including M-32 in the Atlanta area are icey and slush covered, with the slush beginning to freeze as of about 07:30, 29-MAR-2009. Road crews are out, but not in numbers right now.

Anyone in this area, or any other areas that got most of the ice, I would recommend that you wait to travel until this afternoon and the major roads have been taken care of.

Unexpected snow

Posted by Diana Hartwick, Boyne City - Sunday, March 08, 2009 at 9:55 p.m.

I was driving from East Jordan to Boyne City about 5:30 p.m. today and the roads were terrible..They were wet, slippery and very snow covered..it came down suddenly. I think you need to put some warnings out because driving conditions are really bad..thank-you!

Roads are terrible!

Posted by Danielle S, Thompsonville, Michigan - Sunday, March 08, 2009 at 9:33 p.m.

US 31 South is in terrible shape. The visibility is next to nothing and I observed 3 vehicles in the ditch on my way home. Additionally, we have already received more than five inches of snow and it is very heavy and wet.

Last, what ever happened to people slowing down on the roads when the conditions of the road have become hazardous???

Anyone notice all of the people passing on the right lately? If it isn't a paved area and you have to pass the fog line... it is not only illegal, but unsafe!

Safe travels everyone :)

It would be nice if some info was available for Presque Isle County. Mainly 23. How about M68?

Wexford county roads

Posted by Craig Vincent, Cadillac - Friday, December 26, 2008 at 7:05 a.m.

Sad to say but Wexford county roads are always bad, travel 200-300 miles a day all over northern Michigan, worst county of any.

115

Posted by Jess Miller, Traverse City - Friday, December 19, 2008 at 1:56 p.m.

M-115 from Cadillac down to Clare is full of snow, it appears that no plows have passed by the area today.
