The Great Lakes are on the rise following a year of record breaking low-levels. Lake Superior is reporting a 9-inch rise in levels for May, which is the second highest since 1918.

Hundreds of friends and family gathered at the Open Space in Traverse City tonight to remember the life of Owen Williamson, the 17 year old Traverse City West High School student who died Friday night. Williamson drowned while swimming with friends at the Twin Lake Park.
