A northern Michigan wind farm is now fully operational and preparing to supply power to several thousands of homes in northern and southern Michigan. DTE Energy in Detroit and Heritage Sustainable Energy in Traverse City have been working on the project since 2008. Nine wind turbines are currently up and running with more expected to go up in the next year.
