There is a simple way you can show off your family and friends who put their lives on the line for our freedoms.
I have blogged about my boys before. My son Spencer, who is 20, is in the Army and continues his tour of duty in Iraq. He is stationed North of Baghdad and we are hoping he will be able to come home for a visit in the new year.
My other son, Preston, who is 18, is in the Marines. He is finishing up his security forces training in Virginia. At this point it looks like he will be heading to Japan in the coming months.
It seems every time I can bring up their names in conversation I do ... I am one very proud military mom. I am thrilled when I connect with others in the community who are dealing with the same thing ... Emotions of fear and pride all mixed together.
I am hoping to hear the stories of other military families through a new section on the 7 & 4 Website. Just go to our " See It Send It " tab and download a picture or video of your family member or friend who is serving our country. 7 & 4 News will also feature pictures in our newscasts through the holidays, giving a shout out to those who serve and dedicate their lives to us.
So please spread the word - I'm hoping to fill pages full of pride. For more details click on THIS LINK.
