KINGSLEY -- Some Grand Traverse County students skipped the school bus and opted for a different mode of transportation Thursday.

More than a dozen tractors were seen making the trek to Kingsley High School.

The annual tradition began in 2003 as an act of unity for students because there was no room to park their cars in the school parking lot.  They turned heads when they rolled up to the building with their tractors!

This year more girls joined in on the tradition that has become a community event with residents gathering curbside to watch the parade to and from school.
