WEXFORD COUNTY -- A Cadillac man is dead after crashing his snowmobile into several trees Friday night.

Wexford County Sheriff's Office tells 7&4 News that it happened at around 10:00pm on Trail 35 near South 37 Road in Cherry Grove Township.

51-year-old Jeffrey Ellens lost control of his snowmobile as we was coming around a curve and crashed into several trees.

Ellens was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Deputes say alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
