The Traverse City Cohos hit the ice for the first time ever tonight at Centre Ice.  

More than 30 players are taking part in a two day tryout for the brand new junior A hockey team.  They skate tonight from 7 to 9 and tomorrow from 8 to 10 am and 3 to 5 pm.  Every session is free and open to the public.  Owner and head coach Scott Gardiner says this is just the first step in building a squad for the Cohos inaugural season...

The Cohos will play in the brand new Midwest Junior Hockey League...the season starts September 14th...
