EAST LANSING, MI (AP) --
EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio is
out of the hospital, less than three days after having a mild heart
attack.
The athletic department confirmed that Dantonio was released
around 3 p.m. Tuesday. He was hospitalized shortly after the
Spartans beat Notre Dame 34-31 in overtime Saturday night on a fake
field goal that worked for a touchdown.
Offensive coordinator Don Treadwell is taking over in Dantonio's
indefinite absence for No. 25 Michigan State, which faces Northern
Colorado on Saturday. Treadwell said earlier Tuesday that Dantonio
was doing better, but at that point he hadn't been released yet.
