ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz says the
team is "definitely interested" in signing troubled cornerback
Adam "Pacman" Jones, but that "nothing's imminent."
Schwartz said at the NFL meetings in Orlando on Wednesday that
the Lions are gathering more information about Jones' level of
commitment. Schwartz coached Jones when he was the defensive
coordinator for the Tennessee Titans from 2005-06.
Jones was suspended for the 2007 season by NFL commissioner
Roger Goodell for his repeated off-field incidents, including six
arrests since Tennessee drafted him in 2005.
Dallas traded for him in 2008, and he got into an incident with
a bodyguard and was suspended again. The Cowboys released Jones
after the season. He didn't play last year.
