Remembering Rufenach- Centre ICE to honor fallen prospect

When Red Wings prospect Bryan Rufenach signed his first pro contract last season he immediately paid it forward.  He took some of that salary and started a youth hockey camp in his hometown of Lindsay, Ontario.  It was things like that, that left an impression on everyone Rufenach met.  So when organizers of the Red Wings development camp in Traverse City heard about his tragic death two weeks ago they started planning a Brayan Rufenach day.

It will happen July 10th during the 2012 Red Wings development camp...Rufenach was just 23 when he died early this month in an accident while traveling in Europe. Red Wings Traverse City events director Ann Reeves says he'll always be remembered for the short time he spent here in Northern Michigan...
