TRAVERSE CITY -- It's one of the deadliest cancers for both men and women but it's also a cancer that is easily prevented.  March is colon cancer awareness month and 7&4's Melissa Smith sat down with Dr. Rex Antinozzi, a gastroenterologist about why early detection is key and how to beat the disease.

Dr. Antinozzi explained how family history has a huge impact on early screening which includes colonoscopies.  He also broke down the effects of the disease on the body and both men and women and how to look out for signs and symptoms.
