TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- You could say that Filipino martial arts or stickfighting is not the most popular form of martial arts in Northern Michigan, in fact as far as we know only one person in our viewing area practices it, 17 year old Denise Porter from Onaway. And after just a year of stickfighting Porter recently won a gold medal at the world championships in Las Vegas. She joined me in the Jimmy Johns Sports Corner to show us what this unique sport is all about.
