TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- Former Traverse City Central and Grand Valley State star runner Adrian Chounaird finished 67th out of over 150 runners during Olympic trials for the womens marathon at the 2012 Olympics in London. Now she's taking aim at the 2016 games in Rio and it starts tomorrow during the 15k run at the Festival of Races...
Chounaird qualified for the trials with a run of 2 hours 45 minutes...she did 1 minute better in the trials...and finished about 60 spots higher then where she was ranked. Since then she's taken some time off with a foot injury, but is returning to race tomorrow.
