ALLEN PARK, Mich. - Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz
acknowledges linebacker DeAndre Levy grabbed the facemask of
Minnesota quarterback Joe Webb on the final play in Sunday's win.
The Lions held on to beat the Vikings 34-28 after avoiding a
flag on Levy that would've given Minnesota one more shot to win
with no time on the clock.
Schwartz insists a player gets away with something that could've
been called a penalty on 90 percent of NFL snaps. He says the break
doesn't put an asterisk on the victory.
The Lions won't have a losing season for the first time since
2000, but want to make the playoffs for the first time since the
1999 season.
Ndamukong Suh will play Sunday at Oakland after serving his
two-game suspension for stomping on an opponent.
