ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Tick, tick, tick.
Michigan coach Brady Hoke is just days away from his first game
against rival Ohio State, a matchup that he has been pointing
toward since he was hired.
Hoke pounded his fist with each word at his first news
conference in charge of college football's winningest program on
Jan. 12 when asked about the rivalry that has been lopsided
recently in favor of the Buckeyes.
Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon says he thinks the ways
Hoke has motivated his players to beat the Buckeyes has been
brilliant. Hoke had clocks counting down the time before Saturday's
game installed at Schembechler Hall along with signs reminding
players how many days it has been since they had a win in the
series.
