BOYNE VALLEY TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Lee Houtteman of Grand
Traverse Resort has birdied the first playoff hole to beat two
challengers and win the 20th annual Tournament of Champions.
Houtteman, Andrew Ruthkoski of Muskegon and Jeff Cuzzort of
Grosse Ile were tied at a five-under 211 Wednesday after three
rounds of regulation play.
The round was on the Alpine course at Boyne Mountain Resort.
Ruthkoski's four-under 68 was the day's low score.
Scott Hebert of Grand Traverse Resort and Korey Mahoney of
Thompsonville finished the three rounds one stroke back at 212.
The resort is in Charlevoix County's Boyne Valley Township,
about 40 miles northeast of Traverse City.
