WHISTLER, British Columbia (AP) — The final training run for the men's Olympic downhill race has been canceled because of overnight rain.
The men already did have one full training session, so the first race on the Alpine schedule at the Winter Games — Saturday's men's downhill — can go ahead as planned.
The men were scheduled to have three downhill practice runs, but only Thursday's was completed. Wednesday's session was called off because of fog after only 42 of 87 scheduled racers skied the Olympic course.
The start of the women's downhill training session Friday has been pushed back two hours to 1 p.m. local time.
The forecast is for rain or snow for much of Friday and Saturday.
