ANN ARBOR, MI (AP) --
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Michigan basketball coach John Beilein
(BEE-line) says he wants his team to keep its hunter's mentality
despite starting a season with high expectations for a change.
Beilein says during Tuesday's media day that the Wolverines
should have only whetted their appetite for more success after the
program reached its first NCAA tournament since 1998.
Michigan returns four starters, led by junior Manny Harris and
senior DeShawn Sims, from last year. It will tip off the season
Friday night with a "Michigan Madness" event at Crisler Arena
that is open to the public.
The Wolverines won't have to wait long to find out if they're
worthy of preseason hype because they will face stiff competition
the next two months.
