On Saturday the Third Annual Tackling TS Golf Classic will take place at Mistwood Golf Course in Lake Ann.
Tim Wooer, head football coach at TC has been putting this event on since 2007 in hopes to raise funds and awareness against Tuberous Sclerosis, a disease his son Tyler was diagnosed with in 2003.
Tuberous sclerosis is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form in many different organs, primarily in the brain, eyes, heart, kidney, skin and lungs. The true prevalence of TS is unknown, but its incidence has recently been estimated to be 1 in 6,000 live births.
