AUBURN HILLS, MI (AP) --
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - The Pistons have clinched a playoff
spot for the eighth straight year behind 20 points from guard Will
Bynum in a 100-93 victory over the Nets.
Rasheed Wallace added 15 points in tonight's win at the Palace
of Auburn Hills.
Detroit (39-40) still needs two wins in its final three games to
finish with a .500 record.
The Pistons never trailed, going up by as many as 19 points in
the first half. Detroit outshot New Jersey 61 percent to 36 percent
and outrebounded them 24-13 to take a 54-38 lead into intermission.
The Nets closed the gap to 96-91 in the final minute, but
Richard Hamilton clinched the game for Detroit with a 3-pointer.
Nets All-Star guard Devin Harris left the game in the third
quarter with a sore left shoulder and did not return.
