EAST LANSING, MI (AP) --
EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Thousands of Michigan State fans
gathered on and near campus to watch second-seeded Michigan State
score a stunning 82-73 upset of top-seeded Connecticut - just 90
miles from where the NCAA Final Four was played at Detroit's Ford
Field.
The Breslin Center's doors opened about an hour before the
Spartans battled UConn in a tournament semifinal. Downtown bars
also filled up.
East Lansing police say eight people have been arrested for
offenses including starting fires, disorderly conduct and indecent
exposure.
Lt. Kevin Daley says "For the most part, the crowd has been
very good."
