ANN ARBOR (AP) -- Michigan has gotten rested and rejuvenated thanks to a bye week.

The Wolverines will likely find out if they're ready to contend for a Big Ten title in their conference opener Saturday at Purdue. Michigan coach Brady Hoke says the Boilermakers are playing as well as any team in the conference.

Purdue is off to its best start since 2007.

The Wolverines, meanwhile, have started slow with two losses to already match their total from all of last season.

Hoke insists he and his coaches are comfortable with and confident in quarterback Denard Robinson. He threw a career-high four interceptions and fumbled in his last game, a 13-6 loss at Notre Dame. Robinson has thrown six touchdown passes and eight interceptions this season.
