ANTRIM CO. -- A woman is dead after her snowmobile crashed into a logging truck on Smith Lake Road in Antrim County.
Police tell 7&4 News that the woman and two others were snowmobiling in the area, with the woman at the front of the line. She was coming to the top of the hill when she ran into a logging truck.
Smith Lake Road is a seasonal road only used for logging. Police say the company kept the road opening to continue logging through the winter season.
The Antrim County Sheriff tells 7&4 News that he believes the truck driver was the one who called 911.
The two other snowmobile riders were not injured.
The woman's name will not be released until family is notified.
