Homeless man arrested for breaking into home, watching TV

TRAVERSE CITY, MICH. -- A 44-year-old homeless man was arrested for breaking into a home and watching TV while drinking.

The man went into a home on East Eighth Street just past 11:00 Tuesday night and sat down in the living room and began drinking. The homeowner, who was in the home at the time, had never seen the man before.

Officers found the man sitting on the couch in the living room, watching television and drinking from a bottle of vodka. The man was arrested.

The man registered a .229 blood alcohol content and will be arraigned today. He has been arrested 8 times since January.
