GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY -- Eight people were hospitalized after a car crash on M-37 near Grouse Drive in Blair Township around 7:00p.m. Tuesday night.

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office says a burgandy mini-van was waiting to turn left into a driveway when it was struck from behind and pushed across the center line. It was then hit head on by another vehicle driving northbound on M-37.

Four children inside the mini-van were taken to Munson Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Their parents, Harmony and Stephen Bielski, are still at Munson with what the sheriff's office described as serious injuries.

Alcohol is not a factor in the crash. It has determined that all occupants of the vehicles were wearing seat belts.

It remains under investigation.
