MADRID (AP) — Rookie driver Nico Hulkenberg will be looking to match new Williams teammate Rubens Barrichello's pace next year, and he is hopeful he can eclipse his experienced Formula One partner at some point.
The 22-year-old German says it will be difficult to judge how he will compare to Barrichello — who has competed in more grand prix races than any other driver in F1 history — but welcomed the 37-year-old Brazilian's experience, which can only benefit him.
Hulkenberg says he would be "stupid" not to take advice from Barrichello.
Hulkenberg wouldn't say whether the pair would be good enough to challenge for the title, which the British team hasn't done in five years.
