Beach Bums Rally To Topple Kalamazoo

Bums win, but they're out of playoff contention.


TRAVERSE CITY, MI – The Traverse City Beach Bums rallied from a 5-1 deficit to topple the Kalamazoo Kings for the second straight night, winning 7-6 at Wuerfel Park on Tuesday night.

David Nathanson entered in relief of starter Brett Bostelman and finished the game, throwing 6.1 innings and allowing only an unearned run while striking out three on just two days rest to record his 12th win of the year. Traverse City had eight hits in the contest, Kyle Maunus was 2-for-4, with a homerun, 2 RBI and one run scored. Mike Epping finished 2-for-5 with 2 runs scored. Epping also had a stolen base, #37 on the year..
