EMMET CO. -- Last week's suspicious death in Emmet County is now being considered a murder investigation.

Sheriff Pete Wallin says Lyle Kopenkoskey was shot to death on October 2nd.

His body was found early the next morning in a ditch on Kieble Road. His truck was parked nearby.

Police are now saying his  death was a homicide.
