Monday's high winds have caused power outages throughout northern Michigan.
Contractors and crews are helping throughout the state, but some areas may be without power as late as tomorrow.
Consumers Energy is reporting over 800 customers without power in Antrim County, nearly 500 without power in Benzie County, 344 in Emmet County and 266 in Cheboygan County.
At the peak of the outage, Presque Isle Electric and Gas were reporting 3,471 customers without power, but are now reporting around 457. Most of those outages are on Bois Blanc Island and cannot be repaired because the ferry service has been cancelled due to high winds.
Approximately 1,100 Cloverland Electric Cooperative services are without power as of 5 p.m. on Monday, September 24. The majority of outages are in the St. Ignace, Pickford, DeTour Village, Manistique, Cooks, Garden, Naubinway, Trout Lake, Cedarville and Moran areas. Damage consists of downed lines, broken poles and trees on lines.
Traverse City Light and Power reported about 130 outages, but as of 6:30 PM, power had been restored to all of their customers.
