MANISTEE -- Two people are badly injured, after a boating accident in Manistee County.

Manistee City Police say it happened around 6:00am Saturday morning. A boat, carrying seven passengers, crashed into the 1st St. South Pier Breakwall near Manistee.

Authorities say the driver of the boat failed to navigate the boat outside the pier heads and drove straight into the wall.

Two passengers were taken to a nearby hospital and both are seriously injured.
