Woman wanted in connection to overdose death charged

BENZIE COUNTY -- A woman wanted in connection to a man's overdose death turned herself in to authorities in Wisconsin this week and has now been charged in the case.
Benzie County Prosecutor, John Daugherty, says Lisa Michelle Woodhall delivered the heroin that Michael Everett overdosed on and died from on March 6, 2011 in Beulah.
The Benzie County Sheriff's Office spent most of the summer searching for her and tips led them to Wood County, Wisconsin where she had been living.
Woodhall turned herself into authorities and was extradited back to Benzie County to face charges.
Thursday she was arraigned in the 85th District Court on one charge of Delivery of Controlled Substance Causing Death, a felony punishable by up to life in prison.
Woodhall is currently being held in the Benzie County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
During 2011, Benzie County experienced three deaths all due to heroin overdosed. Those cases are still being investigated by the Traverse Narcotics Team and Benzie County Sheriff's Office. If you have any information call police at 231-882-4484.
