A large tree fell on a main power line on Barlow Street Friday afternoon knocking out service to some 1500 customers.

The outage is impacting Traverse City Light and Power customers from Barlow Street, east along Munson Avenue, and most of the customers on the Peninsula.

TCLP expects to have power back on by 6:00 p.m. Friday evening
