ROSCOMMON CO. -- A 16-year-old from Fowler drowned in Houghton Lake on Wednesday.

Police responded to the scene at around one in the afternoon and were told Stephen Schrauben went underwater at the lake off Long Point Drive and did not come back up.

The Roscommon County Sherrif''s Office found the young man about an hour later in twelve feet of water.   Parademics could not revive him.
