Mario Batali cooks for Northern Michigan

TRAVERSE CITY -- Mario Batali spent the day at Chateau Chantal in TC today as part of his media tour - hosting top food bloggers and critics from across the country.

He made a piadina dish with salad, michigan walleye in prosciutto with pesto, and a beef braciole - pinwheel style.

Noting Northern Michigan is his remarkable and happy anti-dote for NYC, his goal was to showcase locally produced ingredients.

Batali visits N. MI every summer, and he said he enjoys the amazing culture of wine and food making here.
