ISABELLA COUNTY -- A man was arrested this morning for stealing nearly $300 dollars worth of brass fittings and piping supplies from Malley Well Drilling in Mount Pleasant.

The suspect is 28-year-old Duane Smith of Rosebush.

According to police, a 911 caller said that a man had stolen items from the business and was being chased on foot by some employees. When he was finally caught, it was found that the suspect had Xanax that wasn't prescribed to him, as well as drug paraphernalia including several needles.
