MASON COUNTY -- Four people were sent to the hospital early Saturday morning, after a dangerous head-on crash in Mason County.

Deputies say the accident happened on US-31 near Townline Road at around 1:15am Saturday morning. 

A south bound vehicle, carrying 3 people, crossed the centerline and hit another vehicle head -on. All four people involved in the accident were sent to the hospital.

We're told three people in the south-bound vehicle were treated for their injuries and sent home.

However the driver of the car that was hit, remains in the hospital.
