GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY -- A 65 year-old Traverse City man is dead, after a head-on car crash in Grand Traverse County.

Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office says the accident happened just after 2:00pm Sunday on M-72 East, near the Traverse Bay RV Park.

A white Dodge mini-van, driven by a 40 year old Kalkaska man, crossed the center line and crashed into a red Ford pick-up truck.

The driver of the truck, a 65 year-old man was pronounced dead on the scene.

As for the driver of the mini-van, he was taken to the hospital  and treated for his injuries.

A third car, driving behind the red Ford pick-up truck, was also hit by the Dodge mini-van. That driver was not injured.
