VANDERBILT -- One woman is dead after a fire at an apartment complex in Otsego County.

Crews were called to Burnside Apartments in Vanderbilt around 2am Friday.  A tenant tells 7&4 News about a dozen people live at the complex.  A headcount of tenants was conducted during the evacuation and indicated one person was missing.

Half of the complex is destroyed. The Salvation Army is helping families left homeless by the fire find a place to stay. 

Two State Fire Marshalls were at the complex Friday morning trying to find the cause..
