CADILLAC -- Officials have arrested a man who was responsible for starting a grass fire on the grounds of Cooley School in Cadillac.

The Cadillac Police Department and Cadillac Fire Department responded to the scene of the fire around 6:30 Tuesday night in the back parking lot south of the school.

They were able to put out the fire without incident.

A witness reported seeing a man flee the scene before officials got there.  He was later arrested and admitted to starting the fire.
