CLARK TWP. -- A Mackinac County woman is dead following a house fire.

Fire crews were called to the home on Hodek in Clark Twp. around 8:15pm Thursday.   When firefighters arrived the building was engulfed in flames.  During a search crews found a 44-year-old woman.

The victim was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries around 1am.  The State Fire Marshall will be taking a closer look at what caused the fire.  The Mackinac County Sheriff's Office is also investigating.
