EMMET CO. -- A former Petoskey High School football coach and teacher has died following a house fire.

Dwayne Swenor, 72, died at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids Saturday.  His wife Peggy remains in critical condition at Spectrum Health.

The Carp Lake Township couple's home was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived last Tuesday.  The Swenors were able to escape the fire, but suffered burns and smoke inhalation.

Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey is handling funeral services, but 7&4 News is told a service will be held at a later date.
