TRAVERSE CITY -- Set up for Saturday's Microbrew Festival has begun in the Traverse City Commons. Volunteers were out setting up tents, fencing, and lights today.

The festival features live music, dancing, and of course, beer. Eighty-five percent of the beer is from Michigan, the rest is from across the nation.

Sam Porter, the director of the fest, stated today, "This festival's a lot of fun- it's got great music, over one hundred flavors of beer, lots of local businesses. There's different polka tents, dance tents, and three different stages. It's going to be fun!" He said they expect all 3,000 tickets to sell, as they have in the past. He said the fact that this is a community-led, volunteer festival held in a beautiful part of TC is what makes it so special. Porter said there are still a few tickets on sale, but encourages you to purchase them soon with the expected sell-out.

Tickets are $35 a piece and there may be a few available at the door. You must be twenty-one to enter.
