Suspect in 47 burglaries faces a judge

EMMET CO. -- The man suspected of 47 burglaries that took place in Emmet County, was officially charged with some of the crimes Thursday.

Phillip LaDere, 22, of Petoskey is charged with 3 counts of home invasion (15-year felony), 1 count of possession of burglar tools (10-year felony), and 1 count of attempted home invasion (5-year felony).

The Emmet County Prosecutor's Office issued the warrant against LaDere Wednesday.  He's accused of a crime spree that took place at the Bay View Association. 

Additional charges are pending.

LaDere is in jail on a $25,000 bond.  He will be back in court Feb. 6 for a pretrial hearing.
