National School Choice Week 2012 kicks off Sunday across the nation.

Governor Rick Snyder along with 11 other state governors signed a proclamation officially recognizing January 22nd through the 28th as National School Choice Week.

The purpose of this week is to shine a spotlight on the need for effective education options for children.

Over the next 7 days more than 340 events will take place in every corner of the nation.  Everyone from kids, parents, teachers, community leaders -- to celebrities and sports figures will participate in this bipartisan commemoration.
