TRAVERSE CITY -- Michael Moore was in Traverse City Thursday night talking about the latest in the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Moore made an appearance at "Occupy Traverse City's" general assembly meeting at Horizon Books on Front Street.

Moore has spent the past three months attending occupy events across the country.  And while the occupy movement started in New York City, he says its just as important to smaller towns like Traverse City.

Moore encouraged "Occupy Traverse City" to stay active through the winter.  They've planed to do that by protesting home foreclosures and hosting a "Occupalooza Concert" on February 18th.
